How does your product use or challenge conventions of your genre, and how does it represent social groups or issues ?
Our group used conventions of the suspense genre in our film. One way was to first start out our film with a blurry shot of an unknown person that fades to black. This creates mystery and makes the audience wonder what or who that is. We also used suspenseful music and had midshots of our actors when they were speaking, switching between shots to show all people in the conversation.
Our demographic is most likely teens and young adults who are interested in thrillers. We are showing a suspenseful situation in which someone is killed and the rest of the group is stranded to save themselves.
