Shot List

This long-shot allows us to see the surroundings and that the runner is worried.
This mid-shot allows the audience to understand that Liam is running away from something and causes them to wonder why.

This over-the-shoulder shot introduces our second runner and emphasizes the intensity of the situation.

This two-shot shows the two runners and allows the audience to see why they are in such a hurry. It creates suspense and keeps the audience attentive.

This mid-shot shows the reaction of the hit-men and hackers when the runners barge in. It makes the audience wonder what is wrong.

This low-angle mid shot shows the first clear glimpse  of the boss, but keeps a level of mystery as it only shows the feet.

This mid-shot shows the boss's feet again, and it pans to the boss walking into a room. This makes the audience think the boss is going into headquarters but is infact at the enemy trying to get the flash drive back.
This low-angle close-up of the boss shows that she is dead and causes suspense when the camera falls to the close-up of just the hand.

This point-of-view shot of the door opening shows that although the boss is dead, someone is coming in. This makes the audience wonder what will happen next.

Fourth Day of Filming- Last Day

Today was supposed to be filmed with my partner's sister, Devin; however, was sick so I had to stand in. We began filming at 2:00 and I put on a business costume, this was to make the boss official looking. I began walking across the tile for the echo effect, only showing my feet so that the identity of the boss was a secret. We finished filming after an hour.

In this shot, We noticed there was an elevator so I suggested the boss comes out of the elevator, for a more dramatic effect.
After filming several takes of the boss dying, I suggested an impactful way would be of the back of my head and the camera gently falls to show my hand.

Third Day of Filming- Conference Room Scenes

Today we arrived at 3:00 and begun filming immediately. We started with the shots of Liam and Lissi running into the conference room to tell them the news. Then we moved on to the shots of the hackers, our actors were nervous so I ran the scene with hem a few times without the camera and then we begun filming, taking shots from multiple angles to see which we liked better.

Second day of Filiming- First few scenes

Today we arrived at Morton's Market around 3:00. We begun with the shot of our hacker, Mary Margaret and tested out certain sound techniques we had thought of. Due to other scheduling conflicts, filming was postponed for about an hour. After the break, we filmed the beginning scenes, with our runners, Liam and Lissi.

Here we have our hacker, Mary Margaret testing out the scene where they discover the boss has died. While my partner, Keara, was figuring out the best angles to film, I worked with her so we could capture the emotion needed in the moment.

After the break, we went to the roof to film the running scenes. After trying many different takes, my partner and I both agreed that a pan of Liam running would be a great opening to the film.

After filming several different shots of Liam, I suggested a mid shot of him taking a breath and then continuing to run. I thought this would create intrigue with why he is running and make the film more suspenseful.

Lastly, we filmed the talking scene between the runners. This took several takes, as our runners would not stop laughing. Eventually we got the shot and it all worked out.

First Day of Filming- Test Shots

Wednesday Dec. 5th
My partner, Keara and I arrived on location at 4:00. We were filming at Morton's Gourmet Market  and planned on using the day to pinpoint the best areas to shoot for lighting and sound. After outlining the shots of the film, we had our actors speak their lines and run in different parts of the market. We finally decided to film in the conference room, as opposed to the center room.

Center Room:

Conference Room:

The conference room had a better sound quality and better overall look. I thought the conference room was more like a "warehouse" room and could be transformed into a crime-ring headquarters.

Script- The Boss

Scouting Locations

Our plan for our locations was some sort of warehouse or garage. We wanted to be able to film the beginning shots outside, but also be able to have a nice room for the hackers and hit-men.
We had to choose between two locations, a warehouse located in Lakeland and Morton's Gourmet Market.

Lakeland Warehouse:

This option had a great outside view and was easily accessible, as it is owned by my partner's family.

Morton's Gourmet Market:

This option was not ideal for the running scenes; however, there was a roof and stairwell that could be used. We were allowed to film here because my partner and I's mutual friend owned the store.

We ended up choosing Morton's Market to film because the other option was too far away for the whole cast to go to. It ended up being the perfect location for the shots and sound quality we wanted.

Final Casting List

Runners
We wanted our runners to be younger looking and less intimidating. We viewed them as not a full member of the group yet, like they were being tested. We picture our runners as thin and able to look nervous without being scared.
Liam B and Lissi Strom were selected for these roles based on previous acting experiences and           appearance.

Hacker
We planned on having two hackers, but one cancelled last minute. We wanted our hackers to be gentle and intelligent (as opposed to nerdy) but still a level of threatening.
Mary Margaret was selected for this role, as she could deliver the lines sternly and with the                 emotion needed for the scene.

Hit-men
We wanted our hitmen to be strong and threatening, larger people with preferably dark hair.
Andrew Sapienza and Colton Root were selected for these roles as they have played threatening           characters before and are also tall and built.

The Boss
We originally planned for the boss to be an 11 year old but with circumstance and judgment we decided to use one of our directors, Merrill Garlington.
Merrill Garlington was selected for this role due to her long legs and availability. Because she is small and not what the usual boss would look like, it leaves the audience with many questions
